More than six decades in making, Kantharia Group’s history can be traced back to late Mr. Haji Ismail Kantharia, came to Mumbai from Gujrat to make a livelihood. A Sharp vision and an eye for opportunity made it easier for him to start as an entrepreneur. Ably supported by his son Me. Sadiq Ismail Kantharia, over the course of time the group established itself in diverse business sectors such as Dairy Farming. Real Estate development, Education and Medical facilities.
With the third generation of the kantharia family, Mr. Shahid Kantharia, a passionate and experienced real estate businessman taking over the mantle of the family business, the group is headed into an existing phase of development, moving towards a new era of professional management and business expansion.

Right from the early age, Mr Shahid Kantharia wanted to steer the family real business in to modern and professional organization. So to equip himself with the international management techniques and processes, he spent his formative years in the UK, upon his return to India, he joined his maternal family real estate business. Over the years, he handled several retail and residential projects such as a Mega Mall and other SRA and redevelopment projects, honing his skills in order to be prepared to take the family business to next level.
It is with the same dedication and diligence with which he sought the experience, he intent to take the Kantharia Group in a new direction.
